Vaidehi Water Falls – Coimbatore

Vaidehi Water Falls, popularly known as Vaidehi Falls, is a scenic natural waterfall near Narasimhapuram village, located about 35 kilometres from Coimbatore District. The waterfall gained its name after the famous Tamil movie Vaidehi Kaathirundhal, which showcased the area’s untouched natural beauty.

Forest Trek & Natural Setting

Vaidehi Falls lies deep inside a dense forest region, offering a raw and unspoiled environment. Visitors must walk through forest trails for nearly 30 minutes to reach the waterfall. During the trek, travelers experience fresh air, thick greenery, and the soothing sounds of nature. The waterfall flows like a natural water slide, making the surroundings visually striking and refreshing.

Wildlife & Environmental Protection

The forest around Vaidehi Falls supports rich wildlife and biodiversity. Because of this ecological importance, authorities have restricted tourist entry to protect animals and preserve the fragile forest ecosystem. As a result, the area remains calm, undisturbed, and environmentally balanced.

Travel Note

Although visitors cannot access the falls freely today, Vaidehi Water Falls remains an important natural landmark near Coimbatore. Nature lovers and photographers continue to admire its beauty from permitted zones while respecting conservation rules.
