The church dates back to 1840 AD, highlighting its long-standing religious importance. Notably, it lies close to the Rockfort area, which adds to its historical appeal. A skilled mason from Tirunelveli named Savarimuthu supervised the construction and ensured the structure reflected strong craftsmanship. Over the years, the church has continued to serve as a key center of Christian worship in Trichy.

Architecture & Towers

The church showcases elegant Gothic-style architecture with striking design elements. In addition, it features two tall towers that dominate the skyline. The main tower rises to about 220 feet, while the smaller tower reaches nearly 120 feet. Furthermore, the church bell hangs at a height of approximately 90 feet, making it visible from afar.
